insulin dependant.

Hi. My wife is flying to turkey this year as an insulin dependant diabetic for the first time,first ime flyer as a diabetic. My question is can you get a small sharps bin for the needles in resort or o we take one with us.

I think with it been the first time you have travelled with these circumstances it would be better to asume there is nothing in the resort and take everything you may require with you. While there you can then see what is available for any future holidays.

we took our own last year but my husband fogot to pack his needles the chemist next to the bonjour got him a pack within the hour they are very helpful

my wife is type 1 diabetic.been going to turkey for 13 years.had no problems if you need anything go to the chemist.or someone where yor staying.they will help you 100 %.steve.

My son is also insulin dependant, even though he has never been asked for it, he always gets a letter from his G.P./ clinic to say he is carrying Sharps onto the plane, also keep insulin in hand luggage so it doesn`t get lost or broken, or if the case goes missing, Other than that he had no problems whatsoever. I put them in an empy plastic bottle, screw top type. Thats another option. and yes you can carry them through I always tell check in person and its fine.
