When do you get that holiday feeling

Postby pitbull » 02 Aug 2009 12:16

May sound sad I know but just come home from Manchester airport viewing park watching the aircraft taking off and landing and with only a week to go before we leave for Icmeler it really gets you in to that holiday feeling can't wait now.

Usually get the holiday feeling once I'm on my way to the airport, before that is just hectic because usually work up until the last minute. Might be different in September when we finish work on Friday but don't fly out till Monday, a couple days for excitement to kick in.

Got our tickets on Saturday and have done my countdown tick off calendar thing at work with daft pictures, like a suitcase on one day and washing machine on the other and aeroplane and sunny things for the 14th. People think I'm mad but my office colleagues know me well!

That week we go will be mad because i have to go to Edinburgh the day before we fly, which is not good timing at all. I'll have to be properly organised this year and pack a bit earlier.

Usually I'm a last minute merchant, but hubby has his stuff packed and packs my stuff being helpful which I then have to unpack cos I cant find any non holiday clothes, cos he'll have packed them. lol.

I've had the holiday feeling for at least 6 weeks and even the girls are more excited than usual and none of us know why.
