We will be taking strong cheddar (although im not sure if entry into turkey is dependant on cheese strength?!) we will also be taking peanut butter and coffee, and some tea bags.

I always take cheese, butter and crackers. The cheese and butter are frozen and last in the case. By the time you get there they have defrosted and go straight in the fridge.

We have always taken vacuum packed packets of cheese and bacon with us and never had a problem up to now. The bacon is vacuum packed and frozen until last minute and then put straight into the fridge. You will find that your neighbours won't love you though with the smell of bacon wafting through the block each morning. Enjoy it, we certainly will next week.
