TEXTING

hi everyone i have just returned from a fantastic week in icmeler il write a review soon i was just after some advise please im trying to txt my turkish friend and when i press send txt it just keeps coming back saying error do you have to have a special number or a number in front of the mobile number or something id b grateful if someone could help me

+90 and then the 10 digit number

i.e: to text icr emergency line

+90 544 426 35 37

+= 00

try adding 00 and then 90 instead of +90 then:)

on most phones, you can get + sign by holding down 0 for couple seconds.

yeah put 0090 and then the number
hope this works for you now
its the same as the UK when we add 0044 to our numbers :)

its the same when your phoning turkey i rang before mobile keeps cutting out its a pain how do you ring from the house phone is it the same

When we text or phone turkey, if its mobile or house phone, just dial 0090 then (like UK) drop the first 0 and use the rest of the number.

EG, Turkish number 05055++++++

to call from uk, dial

00905055+++++

Hi

Dont forget to watch you phone bill as you will be charged extra for texting a Turkish mobile depending on which network your on

yeah well im with vodafone and they charge 20p for a text to turkey
some companies are more
but it soon adds up especially when your on a contract phone

I text Turkey from Orange at 15p per text and 18p per call per minute to mobile. I call Turkey from Talktalk (landline)to a landline at 3p per minute and 15p per minute to mobile.

There are better deals around, but we only do it once every now and again so we are happy enough with what we are getting.

Awww I wish I was in Turkey now instead of rainy Wales - I blame Rami for this colourful site which reminds me of the Icmeler sunset.
