mobile phone again

I was given an old mobile phone by a turkish friend. I removed the battery one day, dont know why and put it back in only to find the phone now has to be unlocked with a pin number. Im not in touch anymore with my turkish friend. Anyone know how i can unlock the phone??

There are a few small mobile phone shops that offer an unlocking service you should be able to find them in your local yellow pages I dont think they charge much

have you tried 0000 thats usualy factory settings unless its been changed
