Small bottle opener - so you can have you efes on the balcony
I also take some old cutlery with me, were not self catering, but sometimes it's nice to buy the bread rolls and salad stuff to have in your room, but it's a pain when you realise you have nothing to cut or spread with.

Big velco rollers, well they are essential to me
Forgot them last year and the first thing we did was try to find some. Got help from ICR offices where a turkish lady told me the name for them was bigodi. I was convinced I wouldn't find any but guess what? Got them in the first pharmacy we tried. Then my holiday could begin. :D :D
Was thinking I'd have to cut up the empty loo roll holders and use those

what you take

Hi Collete,
Thank you for posting the list of "Essential Items we take on Holiday". I am planning for my holiday in Switzerland and even booked the tickets. This information will be helpful to me when I shall be out for holidays.

One of those scrunchy shower "nets" - takes up no room at all, weighs nothing much and then just leave it behind!

My tiny Kipling bag - it weighs practically nothing and is much like the Tardis, given the amount of stuff I can cram in it!
