Great idea dragon - I hate getting in and out of the baths in Turkey - one time found a hotel with a shower enclosure instead of the overbath shower - it was wonderful!!

Same here in Grand Aquarium, they have a large shower enclosure and it was a fantastic powerful shower (and hot if you wanted). Much better than a bath, after all, who has a bath on holiday? It takes up too much drinking time

I always take a copy of my husband's repeat prescription mainly in case security questions me, however last year I mis-counted his bills and didn't have enough. I took the repeat prescription to a Pharmacy and was sold the pills without him having to see a Doctor. We wouldn't be able to do that here! Great service.

I always take a bar of Body Shop soap (e..g lemon, mango) as we discovered it is brilliant for removing stains from your clothes, i.e. mascara, curry, grease etc.

Take some light coat hangers - wire or plastic. There are never enough in hotels.

Edit - Oh, and 'erindoors!

We added an universal sink plug to our list this year. For anyone interested have a look at

The universal plug wasn't a good fit, surprisingly seeing as it was supposed to be 'universal.' We found that the top from a large bottle of water fitted better.
