My thoughts exactly Sue! I've been dieting since mid January and have been yo-yoing since, think its about 9lbs I've lost altogether and is it worth it? As you say when you get there you don't care anyway, my only problem is 'will my clothes fit the second week?'

Oh how true, been trying hard but there's always a packet of crips lurking in the cupboard. Just hope all my new clothes fit - got 9 weeks - is it possible to loose 2 stone in 9 weeks :? :?

I always lose weight on holiday. I think its because we walk so much and don't eat very big meals as its so hot.
I don't like to diet as such, but for the last few months I have been trying to change my eating habits, not depriving myself but just being careful and slowly but surely the weight is coming off.
I don't care if I only lose 1/2 lb per week because hopefully it will stay off. :?

Well done Becki i have only been doing it for a week but stopped smoking first. I think Icmeler is the kind of place where no-one is bothered by how someone looks and besides who cares what anyone else thinks. Don't do it if you have had enough be happy and proud of who you are :) :)

Hope you enjoyed your cheese butty  .

I have finished dieting now and I have lost all the weight I wanted to lose, but now I am maintaining by counting calories until I get my portion sizes sorted, then I will just opt for 3 healthy meals a day with a few snacks to avoid losing.

Totally.

I have a target weight though, I put on weight when taking my exams earlier this year (Comfort eating, stress - happens). Just got back from hols, and somehow I didn't put weight on

Oh well, back to jogging to work every day and an apple for lunch, works for me

It is the feeling of achieving a goal when we lose weight.
Loseing a little weight is good for our health as well as the "feel good factor".
Is it all worth it?
Only you will know when you get those wolf whistles from the Turkish male population as I did on my recent holiday and I am a bloke.
