Does anyone know if i could take a 19 inch flatscreen Tv into turkey or would I have to declare it to customs. Its only for watchin DVDs

I sent a car cd player and our friends Father had to pay tax on it as there is a tax on electrical goods going into Turkey. I would imagine you would have to pay tax on the TV.

I cant remember how much the tax was though - sorry.

We took a vacuum cleaner to Turunc with us and when it came through with the luggage customs did question us as to what it was but let us through with no probs. Have taken smaller things in our suitcases ie dvd player and cd player. No idea what would happen with regard to a tv tho.
