Ah Laney dont be sad,
you can fall off the diet bandwagon now and again hun, otherwise it would be a totally boring life  I find as long as you only do it now and again its fine. I have lost 20lbs since 1st octoberand would like to lose another stone before my hols in May, wishing all you fellow dieters the best of luck

LaneyICR wrote:Well today was when I fell off the diet wagon :( Went to Mac Donalds & had the Big Mac & trust me I could have eaten it twice. Not down hearted though as the diet will begin again tomorrow (Sunday 9th Feb). Next Sunday I will weigh & see how I have got on. If you hear nothing you know the news was bad

But how bad Laney?

I've had to postpone my diet as my wife was away in London for the week (back tomorrow). I've had several takeaways and quite a bit of booze so no point weighing in yet.

I will start on Sunday (1st weigh in) then report every Sunday/Monday after the weekly weigh in.

I've got 19 weeks to loose 1 stone (16lbs) so slow and steady will win the race. I also plan to start running again end of March (when clocks go back - lighter nights). I'l run 3-4 times a week and aiming to do at least 5k every time. Also going to dust off the weights and start training again...

Also cutting down on sweets & crisps (not that I eat loads but every little helps).

Wish me luck (I'm gonna need it lol)

When I went to school a stone was 14 lb. so your target is slightly less.

Well done Sueles810, that's really good. I am weighing again at the weekend, but full up with cold and just craving junk so who knows which way it will go.

Well done on your weight losses. I'm on the slimming bus too, lost 1stone 10lbs so far and with 16 weeks to go until returning to paradise. Would love to loose another 2 stone, just keep thinking of laying on that beautiful beach and will hopefully get there. :D

Right!

Got to 'frame' myself and get this diet & exercise thing started ASAP. I've now only got 10 weeks to loose (preferably) a stone. I think I'm currently just over 13 stone so at 5ft 10" have a bit of extra fat to loose.

I've got some fancy scales that measure body fat, muscle mass among other things so will start using them again.

First weigh-in will be tomorrow morning, then every Saturday for the next 10 weeks - I will post results and progress on here weekly. Also hoping to start running again now the nights are lighter - hoping to complete a leisurely 10k before we go away.

Wish me luck people, I know I am now in the right frame of mind to do this - no more junk food :)

Cheers sunlover loch lomond, Yes I know this aint going to be easy but today is the start.

I don't have all the figures to hand (BMI, muscle mass etc) but I know my starting weight is 188.8 lbs which equates to 13.48 stone.

My target weight is 175 lbs (12.5 stone) so 13.8 lbs to loose in 10 weeks = 1.38 lbs per week (should be do-able I think, especially when I start running)

I keep looking at a picture taken of me when we were on the Jeep safari last year, like I said before, I won't be winning any wet T-shirt competitions looking like that lol (that's my motivational picture  )

Also the one posted here, it's horrible, my daughter took it before I had chance to suck my belly in lol

Well, I eventually got my act together and went for a 3k run (starting off small lol). It was bloody hard work and was knackered after it but it felt good that I've started again. Going again tonight, probably just another 3k and same again next week. Will step the distance up to 5k the week after.

Eating is going well, yesterday consisted of Cereal for breakfast, oxtail soup (no bread) for lunch and grilled spicy chicken with salad and a few new potatoes (no butter) - it was delicious (and surprisingly filling).

Hopefully the weigh in on Sunday will show positive results (or is it negative? lol) as I'm definitely using more calories than I'm eating.

Yeah I'm hoping so, hopefully lost at least 2 pounds...

Is no one else slimming this year? It's very quiet in this thread.
