We opened ours at New Year for a trip to Lancaster, and we had over £400 in it. We have already started another one, which is already feeling heavy, but we will leave this one for the October holiday.

We have one of those that count the money as you put it in. Have £310 in it. Have decided to keep it for our holiday in October.

Since christmas, I have put £1 & £2 coins in old coffee jars stored under my bed! One was full so counted and had £300 in it! Half way through my next tin and don't go away till July! Because they are under my bed, I tend to forget about them, so I'm not inclined to dip into them!

We opened our tin a few weeks ago, just to check that there was no Edward Elgar £20 notes, but we have put it into a new tin, there was over £140 in it then. Thats since January this year.

I opened mine at the end of May even though we have had to cancel this year :( and I had £380 that's putting £1 away every day since 1st June last year and £2 coins when I got them. Might get away later on in the year so just stuck it in the bank. Started another tin on 1 June for next year.

Its obviously to eat something at Edinburgh Airport, because that wouldn't be enough for Dalaman Airport :D
