Hi all
Was just wondering if anyone with an android phone or an Iphone has tried phoning home with Viber yet in Icmeler. If so , how was the call quality?

Hi teac532s
We used Viber when in Icmeler in September, so long as you had a Good wi.fi connection the quality and sound was great, We used it for Text messages aswell. It was from Sony Android to Htc Android. It can be loaded onto Apple and may now be out for Blackberry.

just one other thing comes to mind. I remember reading on the forum about you had to have so long left on your passport when leaving Turkey. I can,t find the thread and can,t remember how long. We will be there from 11 June to 25th june and the OH, s passport runs our Mar 2013. Is June 2012 to March 2013 long enough ( 9 months )

Yes there's 9 months left on it, so easy peasy.

You need to have 6 months left, so you're fine

Your passport needs to have 6 months left on the day of return so you wont have a problem. Also remember when renewing a passport you will get any time left on your existing passport upto 9 months. eg My passport has 5 months left, I renew and I will get a passport which expires 10 years and 5 months later.

Another thing a lot of people worry about as well is kids passports. You have to have a adult passport when you are 16, but that only applys if it's your first passport. What I'm saying is if you have a child passport and the child is 15 now and there is 4 years left on the passport, that passport is still valid until the renewal date irrespective of the childs age.

Hi

I used Viber in august, it was better then a phone call. The line was totally clear and its not delayed

You could also download whatsapp for text messaging in a wifi zone ...

i saved pounds this year.. but spent them shopping instead lol

I also used it, and most of the time the call quality was really clear.
