Easyjet Prices for Tobacco

Postby reesy1959 » 23 Sep 2011 21:13

Does anyone know the prices for tobacco on Easyjet flights. Promised to bring back some Golden Virginia or Amber Leaf if anyone knows the current prices.

oops just noticed that may be an old brochure??
all i can say is that in my experience, duty free cigs on the plane are cheaper than Manc airport, and Dalaman aren't too bad - at least you know it's the real mccoy - or rather superkings in my case haha

There were only three brands offered on our flight from Bodrum in August, I got 800 Silkcut at the airport for 220 Lira, approx £80

Seems to be the going rate on outbound flights I've been on this year Dave - on Onur a couple of days before Aegean went under and on a Monarch flight out in June

Just a quick note here regarding tobacco. In the duty free shops at Dalaman, all the assistants are STILL telling customers that you are entitled to take MORE tobacco than you are legally allowed to bring into the UK.
Know your allowance as UK customs are not interested in what the people in Dalaman told you and the people in Dalaman are not bothered about what UK customs can take off you......after all, they had your cash hours ago.

be very careful with allowances as your cases are all scanned when they come off the plane in the UK before going on the baggage reclaim belt
the authorities in the UK know which cases they are looking for before you even pick them up
