Hiya

I think it very much depends on your calling plan, and you can also buy bundles to use in Turkey for calls/texts too. On my plan (iphone) each text is 40p. Lots of info on their website :)

Hello Dodge.

I'm not entirely sure actually, best to deffo find out before going though.. About three years ago, after I came home I had a £300 phone bill - I was on orange too but had a turkish package so I thought it would be a lot cheaper.. apparently not :(

Pop into a local Orange shop - best of luck!

Rebecca.

Went to icmeler in June for 10 days and I'm with orange on contract with iPhone and before I went phoned orange up and they do a package per month for £5 so you get cheaper calls and texts, I think text worked out about 28pence and calls just under a pound so still expensive, my bill was still £110 :(
Remember to turn off data roaming when in turkey.
Give orange a call they will tell you the actuall price. Hope this helps

dodge

I recently returned to England and each text cost me 40p.

I had a text message in Icmeler from Orange saying text in this country cost 10p and calls to receive and make are ?? (can't remember).

So because my in laws both were taken to hospital while i was on holiday i text my family lots and had a shock when i returned home. On phoning orange customer services i was told that this text wasn't from them, even though it said Hi from Orange etc etc

Hope this helps

Diane

Hi Dodge,

I'm on contract with Orange and I spoke to the a couple of days ago for this very same reason. I was told these charges;

£1.30 pm to call UK
70p pm to receive calls
40p to send a text message
60p to send a photo text below 50KB
75p to send a photo text above 50KB

You can buy a Bundle for £5 that gives;

91p pm to call UK
49p pm to receive calls
38p pm to send a text message
20% off everything else.

If your daughter texts TURKEY to 159 (free) from her Orange phone she'll get a text back listing the charges for her so she can keep that as a guide for when she's away.

Hope this helps and she has a great time :-)
