Residency Permits

Postby dksbbs » 31 Mar 2011 14:34

It is rumoured on other forums that from tomorrow the residency permit for a UK national will reduce from £370 per year to $80 (US Dollars) or $320 for 5 years.

I know it is April fools day tomorrow but people have had conformation from the local Police stations that it is correct.

Hopefully this is good news for people who have holiday homes or go for more than 90 days.

I too heard today but not from a forum that the new rate from tomorrow will be 150 lira but if this is the case then what was mentioned on the consulate site may come true.

They stated that if Turkey was to bring back that other visa where you could not come back in until 90 days after ( I think ) even I get confused with that one, then they would drop the residency payment

Hi ..we went to Port Police on Tuesday to get residency finalised and was told to return tomorrow (1st April) when the new lower rates were being introduced. £60 was being spoken of as the new cost for 1 year. Only down side is that we have to get all paperwork signed and stamped again so that it falls within this new pricing period. But with a huge saving in prospect it is a small price to pay. Will let you know how we get on.

Much better than the prices that were being quoted last year. Good luck.

It seems that he new priceing comes in on the 1st April.
80 US Dollars for 1 year
320 US Dollars for 5 years.
These prices to be converted to TL on the day of application.

This is good news for owners and people staying long term in Turkey and a big saveing on the old priceing.

Just back from Port Police ...1 year residency now 80US Dollars...120TL. The usual charge of 149TL I believe still applies for first time applicants to get the "blue book". Didn't learn anything new about 90 day tourist visas.
