We flew from Bristol airport last year and as "smokers" were pleasantly surprised to find they had a secure outdoor smoking area for passenger use, located AFTER passprt control, ie off the departure lounge. does anyone know if this facility has been introduced at any other airports? Particularly interested in Cardiff this year as this is our departure airport this time.
Any info for other airports may be of use to other forum members too.

Anybody no anything on the subject at Newcastle airport. Its been a couple of years since we last used it.

There wasn't a smoking area in Cardiff in May, just a few ashtrays to the right outside of the main entrance, no shelter at all.

I dont suppose Gatwick has smoking gonna get there hours early for our flight as we are getting a lift from a friend

If you go to google and type in your departure airport it should tell you if there is a smoking area .....

Ive googled newcastle and theres no mention of any smoking areas

Once inside Newcastle Airport there are no areas where smoking is allowed.
