Passport regulations

Mine runs out in January, am I still able to travel with it in October?

I know when I went to Egypt the passport had to have at least 6 months left on it. Is it the same in Turkey?

Yes, it is - you have to have six months left on your passport, so you'd be better off getting it renewed now.
