we first visited icemeler in 1987 after going to kusadssi, have missed the last 2 years due to cruises etc but icemeler has always been our favourite by a mile. love the place and people

16 years for me. Went to Marmaris first and second year. Would not want to stay there again. Made friends with waiters on first visit, and then followed them when they moved to Icmeler. Their family are now like my family. Can't wait to see them at the end of July.

I would agree icmeler is nicer than marmaris
The first year we went my sons were 3/5 and the hotel we were staying at had a pool which was 6ft deep and my son couldn't swim but one of the bars we went in to at night we got speaking to the barman and told him about the pool and said we could use the pool which is part of the bar and hotel next day had a look and it was a huge pool with a baby pool the good thing was the guest that were staying there were german and they only came back about 5.00 so we had the whole pool to ourself it was great.

I perfer the way turkey used to be with small bar/resturants we always went S/C when the boys were younger and used to go out for our meal every night what I liked about it was after you had your meal the owers and staff would dance and have you join in with dancing, singing none of these theme bars where the music is so loud that you can't hear your self think.
It maybe that I am getting older but I perfer the smaller bars and I find they have more time to chat to you and you are not just a bum on a seat

Been to majorca, menorca, gran canaria, france, tunisia, portugal. First tried icmeler in 2004, never been anywhere else in turkey. Love icmeler so much and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I go twice, sometimes 3 times a year and this year going for 4 months :D
