Airports in parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland are to close from 0700 BST because of risks from volcanic ash, the Civil Aviation Authority has said.
Glasgow, Prestwick and Derry are likely to be closed all day, while there are plans to shut Inverness in the morning only, and Belfast in the afternoon.
I hope it doesn't affect anyone on here who's off on holiday in the next couple of days.

I'm just hoping and praying it's all gone by the 27th...
Don't really mind if I get stranded in
Icmeler - just as long as I can get there in the first place!

I think that you really need to have a look at your insurance policy and read the small print.
I hopefully flight out on 22 May and also booked DIY. I booked with Aegean flights does anyone know if they will refund any money if flights have to be cancelled. As they are a Turkish company???? I assume that they will not be covered by the EU regulations.

The all clear sounded this morning with all U.K. airports operations as the latest cloud of dust moves on,I have read that these dust clouds will be a feature for sometime to come.We will just have to hope that the wind blow them in a more favourable direction.
