No Turkish restaurants here in Reading....

But we do have the Efes Grill and the Istanbul Grill takeaways.

Also a very friendly fella from Kusadasi who parks his kebab van not far from Morrisons on the Basingstoke Road.

So...Friday night in and a few bottles of £1.30 Efes and a kebab to go.

Forgot to say I have been into the Turkish kitchen in Edinburgh now and the meal was beautiful! We went in the Friday before travelling and the place was packed! We were also the last to leave...Had a great time and it wasn't pricey either! Definitley worth a try! :D

:D We do now have a Turkish restaurant in Reading! It's called Mangal and opened very recently. We called in last night to have a look at the menu, etc. but ended up staying and having a gorgeous meal. My OH is taking me there again for Valentine's Day. The only thing that would make it even better would be if they offered take-aways too. Hope it proves a successful business because we've been travelling to London or Portsmouth whenever we've fancied some nice Turkish food in the past so consider ourselves lucky to have somewhere so good on our doorstep!
