Visa

Postby icmelerbert » 18 Apr 2010 13:15

My grandson is going to turkey in Icmeler on 9th July and then returning back again on 26th September. While he is their his visa runs out. Does he have to get a new visa for his September holiday on arrival or not? Thanks icmelerbert

Hi

If it runs out when he is there then it is best to get a new one on arrival in september otherwise he will have problems when he comes to leave the country at the end of his stay
He could enter the country on his old visa then take a day trip to rohdes and renew it then
If he does not renew and gets caught it will cost him a lot and he could be thrown out of the country and expelled
It is best he renews on his way in in september
Hope this helps

even if its just one day over its worth paying the extra £10 to get a new visa
as they can sting you for a lot of money if your over and can even ban you from entering turkey for a specific period of time

Visa lasts for 90days so he would have to have returned before the 90th day - Best to be safe and spend a tenner ın case he was to get stuck!

Yeah Katie the day you arrive is included. Whatever the date on the stamp is classed as your first day even if it is like 11:50pm

I have to get one just for last 3 weeks :(

Yeah going to rhodes. Having a bit of a dilemma about it though:

Either go with my 2 friends in august who do it every year and know what they are doing/where to go ect. Or go in october with just me and my friend who have no clue about any of it lol

Just wondering if i go in august will they question me getting a new visa so soon as i will have only had my one from dalaman about 4 weeks :?

to be honest i think it would be better to do it in August
as i think they would be less likely to ask questions then as it doesnt look suspicious
everyone going on a day trip to Rhodes has to purchase a new visa on entry dont they ?
so there will be a lot of tourists doing it
hope that makes sense

No, everyone doesnt have to buy a vısa - The turkısh vısa ıs multılpe entry so you can come and go as often as you lıke - Only ıf ıt ıs about to expıre or ıf you want a new one do you buy one.

Dannii I would go wıth your frıends ın August - The hydrofoıl ıs October can be cnoppy and unpredıctable and doesnt run some days - Plus ıts much better to go wıth someone who can show you where the good stuff ıs!

Thanks Katie and Cath. So they won't question me as to why I am buying a new visa after only 4 weeks of being there?
