Pip, reports from Icmeler that have been posted are that the place is enjoying it's busiest season for years, people are having to wait for tables becoming available in certain restaurants .

that is normal for this time of year John as after all it is high season
i was there in july and in august and it was busier in july than in august
i dont think icmeler is as busy this year for some reason
maybe its just that more people are going half board or all inclusive

We were there 24/7 for two weeks and we queued some nights for a table in some restaurants.

We were out there for the month of May and have just returned after spending another two weeks in August. May was certainly busy but August was even busier but that's to be expected as it is the height of the season. I know that there was little or no accomodation in August and as reported, it was true that you had difficulty in finding a table in more that one of the more popular places. We are back again in October and know that some people are having problems finding flights from certain airports at half time. 5 weeks and counting :D :D
