Spending money

Postby rob » 21 Aug 2009 18:56

Hi,

Could you good people give me some ideas of how much spending money a a family of three would need per day. Self catering but like to eat out every evening with plenty of beer! Not worried about trips as we did most of them years ago. Basically just food & drink 8)

Depends really on your lifestyle, but me and my OH like to take £100 per day. That covers breakfast for me, lunch and dinner for both of us, plus drinks, and we dont hold back.

It also covers shopping and trips and on the occassional lunchtime we might just make a sandwich in the apartment.

Hi, We are a family of 3 & spent £130 per day which included lunch and most expensive meals on evening menu plus beer, wine and cocktails and the occasional pedalo, boat trip or taxi per day. We recommend to allow for £150 per day with the change to spend on shopping & gifts. Enjoy, Wish we are there with you XX

Thank you so much, i had allowed 2k for the two weeks but i had friends that went to Altinkum and they said they only spent £300 ( 2 people ) in a week which made me ask the question. We always have cards etc but its nice to not get any shocks as the last time we went i think was 1998!

disregarding buying presents going on trips etc just food and drink (beer ) + the odd ice cream etc i reckon £30 per adult per day is ample .

we went in july, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, we did lots of boat trips, ate ice cream and whatever else we wanted, and spent around £1700, so i am sure your 2k will be plenty..i split mine into £100...that way i knew how much i was spending each day...

We came back Friday morning, Family of 4, 2 Adults and 2 Children (16 & 13), over three weeks we spent £2640 which included all our food, Beer, Drinks, Ice Creams, also a number of trips

2 Day to Ephesus and Pammelkale
2 Boat Trips
Jeep Safari
Quad Biking
Water Park

We didn't lack for anything and I had more available to spend so didn't try and hold back. so including trips we averaged £125 per day.
