BMI Manchester Duty Free

Postby Kevin & Carol » 07 Aug 2009 21:28

We fly from Manchester T3 next Friday with BMI, flight code BD. Any ideas what the duty free shop is like in T3, if any, or prices on the BMI flight. Then will it be cheaper at Dalaman when we land.
Also do you get a meal with BMI or is it a sarnie deal from Boots? :?:

Hi

We fly with BMI on 17th and on are tickets it says on board purchase for meals I would check your ticket it should say if you have a meal included.
We have not flown out of Term3 before but looking at the Manchester airport website there is an Alpha duty free shop after check in there also use to be a walk way between Term1-Term3 after check in dont know if it is still there with all the upgrades they have been doing to Term1

We have flown from terminal 3 several times and again in Sept you will get all the duty free you require it abit smaller then 1/2 but ok .Boots have gone airside this year so you will get you flight meal or take your own just buy a soft drink before you fly .We have flown BM they are very good 32 seat pitch we are using them for 28th Sept going back .Cheers

T3 isn't bad at all - once you get airside. It has the feel of a slightly smaller airport, but all feels really new, and there's a good selection of shops.
Put it this way, it's a sight more pleasant than Dalaman

We flew with BMI a few weeks ago and they're great. Didn't have meals included though (But let's be really honest - does anyone actually like airplane meals!) Get a sarnie and a drink

Terminal 3 isn't bad if you don't have a really early monring flights. We flew from there in December and our flight was at 5am, the aiport was like a ghost town. No shops open only the food outlet and bar, duty free. As for boots and WH Smith and other shops were closed which is understandable if the terminal is dead.

Thanks for the replies. What about the best prices for duty free? Manchester airport, BMI or Dalaman?
