Bringing own car into Turkey as tourist!

In April this year we drove round from Spain to spend two months in Turunc. The car had a six month visa and was stamped out 28th May 2009. We are coming over again , by car, in April next year for another two months. We have been told that there may be a problem getting through with the car on the original passport and that it may be that we have to change ownership so that it will be put onto another. In Spain to change ownership is an expensive thing so would rather leave things as they are at the moment. The Consulate in London are not being very forthcoming with advice at present(they will not be stuck at a border if they give the wrong advice).
Any ideas or contacts to approach would be most welcome.
