I'm all packed too and ready to go tonight, the suitcases seem to have been out for weeks but not locked as yet so still time to pile more things in!

I tend to leave a lot of stuff like travel adaptors and sun cream in the case all year around.
We go two weeks tomorrow and i plan to have a sort out to see what i shall be taking this year over the weekend, no doubt some stuff will need washing. There's always some stuff i can't pack though until the night before like hair straighteners because i need them just before we leave.

My wife starts gathering all the holiday stuff together a week before we go but only packs the night before, however as other say we leave stuff in our suitcase all year round eg Beach Towells, so the cases come out of the attic a couple of weeks before so they can be washed.

What we do as well is a leave a large holdall in Icmeler with stuff we don't use all year and doesn't need washing, eg: Snokel & Mask * 2, flippers * 2, Lilo * 2, UK Extension lead, electric fan, water guns. Last year we also left unopened bottles of shampoo, conditioner, unread books etc. It's amazing but we save aout 20KG in weight doing this. The apartments are happy to store them as we go every year and the case will be waiting in my room when I arrive.

Maybe ICR could arrange storage for people for a small fee, with the airlines now reducing luggage to 15KG every bit helps.

That's a really good idea, especially if you tend to stay at the same places each time. As you say, with airlines cutting back on the weight allowances, it could well prove worthwhile for some folk.

We have just left our holiday clothes at our last apartment, its clothes that we only use on holiday and most of the daytime shorts and vests. These are being laundered for a small charge and will be hanging up in our wardrobe when we return. Cant fault it.

Thats a good idea, never though of leaving clothes, might ask if I can do that this year, in the end I only wear my Borat Mankini while on holiday.

it is a good idea to leave your clothes at the apartments it saves you taking them home and if they wash them for a small charge its worth it as well
at least you wont get any excess baggage charges :P

Haven't bothered putting the suitcases away since we arrived home 3 weeks ago. Just washed the clothes, folded them and put them back in the suitcases, ready for September.
