This actually happened to me last year, i didnt lose the key but my padlock broke and wouldnt open, thanks to womble posting his thread i was able to open my case and use it as normal, even to the point of being able to keep it locked and just open it when needed, please watch the youtube link womble posted

touch wood we have been lucky up till know but when you get your cases back they have dints in have you seed the way the men throw those cases on
