Lilo's

Postby kentlisa » 23 Jul 2010 05:24

Sorry for asking such a lame question. Are lilo's very expensive in resort? Last year we were warned that the resort we visited that inflatables were very overpriced so we took them with us. But their quite weighty and I'm starting to compile a mental list of things that can removed from the packing if the scales go over.

Thanks

The last one I purchased 2 years ago was 20 Lira (£8), it was good quality.

it depends on what one you want, I always get a fancy one with a head rest which is more like a chair! They are the most comfortable things ever and I could spend all day in it! Obviously you can get the basic bog standard ones for much cheaper

My wife filmed me last year trying to get on one, I looked like a whale trying to beach itself, but the worse thing is I nearly lost my trunks twice.

Hi All
the best way to get on a lilo is wedge the end of it between the pool steps then back to the pool use rails & lower yourself on push yourself away with feet from the rails I'm a big girl & I can do it good luck

Is it right that the pools don't have a shallow end and generally are all one depth?? If so i'm in trouble. Im 4ft 12 and err weeble shaped. But I love my lilo. I will wait until everyone is having their afternoon snooze and just hope that if I do actually manage to get on that the kid's don't think i'm there to play and come and push me off again :)

no shallow end where we've stayed, just separate and v small childrens pool that's shallow so looks like it could be hit and miss

this thread's making me chuckle soooooooooooo much - thought I held the world record for the most unsuccessful attempts at getting on a lilo, but it seems I'm not alone

why is it that the kids make it look sooo easy,ie take a running jump from the side of the pool onto one - blimey, if I did that I'd miss and the splash would empty the pool

Admin - could be a lucrative venture for you next season - lilo mounting lessons!! reckon you'd be booked up all season
