Can anybody tell me if there are any books to borrow at the L'etoile hote, or, anywhere else I could borrow some, I always take a couple with me to read on the beach , but this year due to the wieght restrictions I was hoping to borrow a couple. All the hotels I have stayed in in other countries have some in the foyer, and I always leave mine anyway, so I was wondering about L'eoile? Thank you.

There was chat on the forum about members leaving books at the
ICR office for members to borrow due to weight restrictions. Not sure if it happened or not but I am sure someone on here will be able to say if that idea went ahead.

Most
hotel and apartments I have visited have a book section were people can borrow, exchange or leave their books for other guests.

Good idea this as I read alot. Is it expensive for each book that you download onto it.

my one came with I think 300 free books mainly classiscs - but you can download from waterstones for the same price as a paperback book - and if you search the night there is some places that have free ebooks on them..

You can now download free from our local library and you can
transfer to your MP3 player. I would imagine that would apply to most libraries now

I got a book called .... Birds Without Wings from my local library the other day , and so far it's been good reading.
I've only read the first few pages ( I'm not the greatest reader ) but I think it's about people who have suffered ( all walks of life) through the years in Turkey .
I will try and give a better review once I have got into it more.
Has any one else read this book ? and what did you think of it .
Cheers
Garry.

I read Bird Wihtout Wings after my first visit to Turkey and have read it twice since, brilliant book but for those concerned with weight be careful, it's a thick book. I will be in the office exchanging books this year, it'll be my first trip to
Icmeler as we have always gone to Hisaronu for the last eight years. We're really looking forward to it and avidly reading the posts for tips etc.

Hi there
I read Birds Without Wings at the end of last year. Found it a bit hard going in places but on the whole a good read. I will be taking my copy when we go in June and leaving it at the
ICR office for folks to borrow.
