Buy it on the plane if you can, Dalaman is supposed to be 'duty free' but certainly isn't

I thought you were allowed to take in more than 1 litre

I bought 2 litres of whiskey in June at Newcastle airport to take for a couple of our friends, nobody told me i could'nt take it, who is going to stop and search you at Dalaman anyway.

Are you sure there did not get confused with the allowance to bring back into this country.

My advice on duty free is buy lots and drink it

Mr Kurt asked us to take him 3 litres of Tia Maria from manchester, we took them through no problems. Ane we also bought a bottle of Malibu and a bottle of Vodka for us, no one said anything and no one stopped us in Dalaman. Mind you we arrived early morning and as our flight was delayed it seemed as thhough there were no other flights comeing in at that time airport was deserted apart from the people off our flight.

Every thing I've read says you're allowed 5 litres into turkey :D but only allowed to take 1 litre back to the UK :(
So I'll take my chances and if I get stopped I'll flash the following in front of there eyes and no doudt they'll still take it off me for being cocky. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Travel-g29 ... urkey.html
