Visa question

11 Jul 2009 11:17

We were in marmaris from 12th June this year and are going back for a week on 4th September, leaving dalaman at 1.40 am on 12th September, will we still have to pay a tenner each, we will not be in Turkey on 13th September which I think I may be correct in saying the 3 months technically runs out.

thanks

Hi Polly

The visa runs for 90 days from date of entry into Turkey it might be worth paying the ten pound each if your close to it running out as the fines are very high for over staying your visa

If your visa is still valid, you can go straight to passport control.

I think I know the answer to this one  but..................

We were over in May this year, and obviously had a visa in the passports. Now ours will of course still be ok - well within the 90 days. My daughters one though, being the age she is, her passport has had to be renewed. So she has a brand new passport.

Does this mean we will have to pay to get a new visa, or could we just take the old passport?

I'm thinking mind, for the potential hassle, for the cost of a tenner, we might as well just get another, but no harm in asking I thought :D

New passport, new visa as you can't enter the country on the old passport.

really not worth overstaying cause they will charge you a great amount
if its over 90 days be prepared to pay for a new one
and yeah you will need a new passport
