I also recomend money supermarket. They have special deals with insurers and I always use them, I think the rates it comes up with are great. Luckily I've never had to claim but it seems to have a wide range of policies to suit everyones needs.

Have to agree with others always use money supermarket and get good price this year £17 for annual cover each which is only few pounds more than a single trip. You can then choose what cover you want.

mark, if the 16-year-old's family has a family travel policy, check that, because some allow the different family members to travel individually under the joint policy. I know ours does, but the company we were with beforehand didn't, but it's worth checking if it saves you having to take out individual insurance.

Went to travel supermarket last week and seen some cracking deals. Didn't recognise any of the names associated with the cheaper options so I was a bit dubious about buying.
However, when I was in work on Friday a friend told me that the tour operator/flight operator had gone bust and his holiday was being cancelled (he was off to
Marmaris on July 27th for 2 weeks). So, I went into a bit of a panic as the holiday has been fully paid since March and I have had no insurance cover. Ended up going with AXA which covered the full cost of the holiday and gave each of us £1500 baggage cover for £17 each.
