Turkish micro sim for data

Can anyone much more knowledgeable than me please assist. I've got myself an ipad and are looking for a local sim to use for 3g whilst in Icmeler (I appreciate the amount of wifi coverage available is extensive, but I'm still wanting 3g too! 
). From the UK, I can purchase a microsim through a company that connects it to avea but it ain't all that cheap and I have to top it up every 30 days or it dies. I've checked out the avea and turkcell websites and think I can probably get a sim in Marmaris - does anyone know if I can? And if so, what kind of prices they charge for data? I'm reckoning that 1gb will be enough for a 2 week holiday.
