bal apartments info

this may sound like another really silly question but what are the toilets like in the bal apartments are they like the normal uk loos or are they similar but small pipes. because ive been told you cant flush loo roll in the toilets.

again sorry for probably a stupid question

Not a sill question at all if you haven't been before then you won't know.

1. The vast majority of toilets in Turkey (toutist areas) are now western style (not a hole in the ground).

2. Due to the smaller gauge pipe work toilet paper will block the pan. Most establishments provide a bin to put the used paper in.

3. Sounds dreadful but it is not a problem and you soon get used to it, and be assured when you come home from Turkey you will keep looking for the little bin for a while.

Take look at viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2192 after page 1, you will get the Idea , on page 2 is a picture , The pipes are narrow gauge and because of this you could completely block them, then as I was told, unfortunatley what goes down , comes back UP!!
