had a great first time in Icmeler 1st August - 11th August and won't be the last. Travelled with Husband, son, daughter and her boyfriend.Left Newcastle at 5.15pm, flight with t**** C***, left on time and arrived 25minutes early. Followed the crowds to the Visa desk then off to passport control (don't they ever smile?). Collected cases then out to find the transfer bus. This was booked through ICR but on arrival in Icmeler the driver couldn't find the street on which our private apartment was located. Ended up getting dropped off outside the Babadan apartments and found our own way from there. (good job it was only a few minutes away, as everyone one was tired at 3am)
Stayed in a private apartment ( didn't find this website till after booking) Went to bed for a few hours, then chilled by the pool.
Ate in lots of different places, as recommended by lots of people on here. Printed out the google map and marked restaurants and bars on it. (husband impressed, saved alot of time looking at menus outside places and getting hassled to go in) went to the following places:
Sat night : Venice - great food and entertainment. (daughter's boyfriend got up and danced on the bar).I had venice royal steak, best meal of the holiday.
Sun night : Kingsland Chinese - set menu for 15 lira.
Mon night: - Majestic - again great food and entertainment. Had chicken sizzler 19 lira.
Tue night: - Kerem - Lovely meal and delicious cheescake.
Wed night: Cocoa Beach - lovely meal and great choice of desserts. was pursuaded to buy a large melon cocktail to share amongst five, but was very nice. ( didn't go elsewhere for a drink after though, money went on the cocktail)
Thur night: The lighthouse - food lovely. Went to Magic garden for a drink after, very nice place to chill and relax.
Fri night: Harmony bar - went here to watch stella show, had a meal before hand. Food nice. show excellent, front row seats.
sat night: Love Boat. great food.
Sun night; back to Venice again, didn't dissapoint.
Mon night: Last night , back to Majestic, lovely meal again.

Thursday boat trip, everyone had a great day. boys enjoyed jumping off the boat. can recommend this trip.
Sunday, Jeep Safari, 4 jeeps in tow. great day had by all, ( as good as the one we did in Cyprus a few years ago) Got soaking wet, but fun. can recommend this trip. Bought the dvd to remind us all of the fun we had.
Andrew ( husband) and I got up early one morning and walked to Marmaris, what a nice walk and lovely views on the way. Decided to get the taxi boat as it was too hot to walk back. First one we got on, sat there for 30 mins waiting, then the man tells us we are not going as not enough people, had to then go and get on another one, waited on that one for another 15mins before departing, only to set off then turn back to collect more people.
Last day, decided to go shopping with daughter to Marmaris, hubby and boys were surposed to be going on the quad safari, but there was a mix up, so didn't manage to do it. They came and met us in Marmaris, thank god, as all we kept getting was hassle while looking around until they came.
Doesn't the time quickly disappear when having fun, it soon came to the time for us to go home,
transfer arrived at 1am. Had a smooth journey back to the airport, everyone fell asleep on the way there. Straight through check in, no problems at all and waited to board plane. Plane took off 10 minutes early. Flight was fine, slept most of the way home. Arrived in Newcastle around 7.10am to the sun shining, (makes a change, normally raining).Everyone had a great holiday and hopfully will be returning again soon to Icmeler.So much to see and do, and lots of nice bars and restaurants to choose from, just not enough time.
