Flight and transfer were fine, no problems at all. Got picked out of the queue at Manchester, straight to Express check-in which saved a lot of time. Transfer from Dalaman was good.
Stayed at Rhodes apartments, third time, and as always, Tango couldn't do enough for you. He's such a lovely guy and takes great pride in his apartments and especially his beautiful gardens. One day he spent over 3 hours mowing the lawns. Got a great pic of him stood on top of some ladders pruning his bushes with Inta footing the ladder (he's not stupid)
Tango's mum had been knitting scarves all week and before we came home she gave me one in a lovely chestnut brown colour, she's so sweet. Will put it to good use this winter.
We stayed at Rhodes in June and everyone was complaining about a couple of girls who had their sunbeds reserved permanently by Tango and they didn't even stay there - you know who you are Ann & Karen.
Well, couldn't believe it when we turned up this time to find the same beds reserved again - even looked like the same towels. Thought maybe the girls had stayed for the season but no, they'd come back again like us. Anyway, turns out they stay somewhere really cheap and just spend the day round the pool at Rhodes (sometimes not appearing till after lunch). Now I know there's been a thread running about this sort of thing but it's one thing to reserve beds at your apartments but to do it when you stay somewhere else (and do it EVERY DAY) is bang out of order. A few of us did complain to Tango (hi to the girls from Yorkshire, and David the BA guy) and told him that if he's not careful he could find everyone doing this next year and then where would he be? He's too nice that guy.
Weather was a bit iffy, couple of thunderstorms that have already been mentioned, but was funny seeing Inta running around using a parasol as an umbrella!
A few hot and sunny days so can't complain.
Went to the Wayside for the first time and really enjoyed the food, would definately recommend it. Also went to Love Boat (twice), Taj Mahal, Dreamboys, Ozzy's, Florida and over to Marmaris a couple of evenings.
Did the usual boat trip, always a great day out.
Walked up to Cafe del Mar and sat and enjoyed the fantastic scenery, must try it in the evening when the bay is all lit up next time.
All in all we had a lovely time, a lot of it just spent relaxing by the pool, nothing wrong with that though is there?
