mersoy belavista suites (LONG REVIEW)

Postby peter54uk » 14 Oct 2008 18:18

returned monday from honeymoon staying at mersoy bellavista suites and as promised here is our ups and downs of this hotel.
as you arrive its a very impresive entrance and we were greeted by the very efficient english receptionist cheryl.we booked a standard select suite one of four standards available, at first we were not overly impressed with the room because it was room 3402 on top floor (lift thank goodness!)and the balcony was very high so you had to stand up to see over it. however the mountain views were stunning. their was plenty of storage but it had acoffee maker which seemed strange for a hotel which (certainly in our week) seemed to cater for nearly all english cutomers? also the hairdryer would run for two r three minutes then cut out and you had to leave it for two or three minutes to cool, having said that the bathroom and shower and bedroom were fitted out to a very high standard so all in all room scored 3 out of 5.
pool area beautiful and well equiped its a adult hotel so beware if you are vertically challenged cos the pool is all one depth about 5ft 4. exceptionally well maintained and clean (unlike pool side jacuzzi bit yeugh! andnot used at all the week we were their) so 5 out of 5 for the pool
food breakfast varied good selection hot and cold but no orange juice just this strange tasting orange coloured liquid! chef available to do eggs of your choice plus a toaster however only "fancy" tea bags available so if you liked your tea apple black grey lemon strawberry you were sorted!
evening meals were pasable not great and service was ok so food scored 3 out of 5
overall if we wanted a clean quality 3/4 star hotel half board we would definatly recomend this one and being on a side street you were rasonably sure of a good nights kip
so despite a shaky start and some iffy reviews cos it only opened this year i would give the bellavista 3.5 out of 5
hope this helps
