Taxi picked us up for the airport. As usual I thought I had forgotten something so we had to stop while I searched. Friends, husband, daughter all cheesed off hehe!
Arrived at the airport in loads of time, got through to departures very quickly and went into the executive lounge, fantastic. Had a great flight. Arrived in Dalaman and our transfer driver was waiting for us. On we go, nearly home.
Club Aquarium fantastic as usual. Got the same room as we were in last year as I had requested it which was fab. Different staff there this year and I have to say I preferred the staff last year. The bar manager and one of the barmen kept hitting on our daughter which began go annoy us after a while.
Places we ate:
Chef, Mr Chef, Loveboat, Vince's, Venice, Noels, Alvaro Lemon Tree, Dream Boys (or Wonderboys - had lost the plot by then !). Lighthouse (TWICE), Titanic, 3(4) Bells. They were all lovely meals. Thoroughly enjoyed each one of them.
Bought a couple of rings (as you do). What we did find this year was that we spent a lot more money than we thought we would. Obviously with the exchange rate not being very good it did work out more expensive this year. Hey ho we work hard and save hard and very penny we spent was worth it.
We took a taxi boat into Marmaris one day and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also took the Dolmus to Marmaris with a couple of dancers that we met and I don't think I have ever laughed so much as I did that day. They were hilarious! They also seemed to be really really lovely guys.
I've been so depressed since I got home, which is a shame really because you don't go on holiday to be depressed at the end of it. Anyway I'm picking up now and looking forward to going back on 10th October for a week. I don't know what it is about Icmeler, it's just got the edge on every other place ive been and I love it.
Our friends had a ball, they had been to Marmaris 9 years ago and loved Icmeler. We laughed for a whole fortnight. The apartments are lovely, the weather was too hot (not that I'm complaining), the people are fantastic, my hubby danced on the bar in Noels (poor Leon nearly had a fit). Our daughter had a ball. What more can I say. Icmeler, heaven on earth
