it finally arrived our holiday to club sun village in icmeler,having taken different holidays in the last two years we decided to venture back to icmeler and what a good choice we made,,,,,here goes, arrived at newcastle at 4am saturday morning on the 23rd august flew with xl airways (cheapest i could find ) had a trouble free flight and arrived in dalaman around lunchtime to very very hot sunshine, managed to locate the icmeler online transfer guide who we duly followed to the bus having only ever been on tthe usual coach transfers we were glad to see a new airconditioned mercedes mini bus which we shared with another family who where also staying in icmeler had a lovely transfer which included free drinks on coach which were very welcome.arrived at club sun village apartments which are located approx 5 to 10 min walk from main town which was the furthest we had stayed out of main area,however we did make a graet choice as the apartments are first class and very very friendly,the staff ebo,sam,robbie,yunice are all excellent and contributed to a fantastic holiday ! these apartments and amenities are first class and we will definately be returning asap.we booked a few trips with icr one which was the jeep safari was fantastic and my family and myself had a excellent day out the guides were great and we had a unforgettable day out,we also went on the horse safari which was ok but ive done it now and wont again main reasons being the horses were not really fit enough and i got the impression that the owner was more interested in cash ! we also did the white water rafting day which began at 7.30 am and after 3 and a half hours we reached the very top of the mountain, we proceeded to have anothe fantastic day rafting in beautiful surroundings,we rafted through varies grades of whitewater the highest being a grade 4 of which my daughter and myself duly left the raft not by choice we were thrown into the fast flowing water and managed to cling onto a rock until the guides rescued us,this all added to another great day out i would highly recomend this day out to anyone who likes a little excitement.we managed to fit 2 boat trips in one was with ebo from the club sun village apartments which was a great day which i would also recomend.another boat trip we did was with the famous captain bullshit restaurant crew,we paid £10 each which included a full english breakfast for everyone full barbecue lunch and 7 hours of sailing with fun people what a bargain !, we also did the midnight cruise with captain bullshit which is completely free this was a lovely nite we left harbour at 10.30 and cruised up the coast to marmaris harbour the views of icmeler and marmaris at nite were great,we then sailed back and played games danced etc,a great nite had by all we returned to icmeler at 1am,all in all all of our trips were great value for money,the only regret was that icr couldnt manage to get a boat trip g oing while i was there ! which was strange as there was a lot of forum members in icmeler at tha time.we spent most nites in venice restaurant which is by far head and shoulders above any of the others wonderboys etc,venice sets the standard for others to reach,we also had meals/drinks etc in the three bells,romance,sun village apartments,and many more and i can honestly say that we didnt have a bad meal.inevitably our last nite was spent in venice another great nite,at the end of the nite we had to literally drag my 2 girls aged 15 out of venice sobbing and crying.we arrived back into newcastle at 4.30 on saturday evening to rain and wind,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we have already been looking for flights for next year , i can honestly say that after 2 years away from icmeler was far too long,i know people say that the entertainment is repetitive and there should vary it,however with alittle imagination you can vary youre holidays yourself,we had a fantastic holiday with plenty of different days out etc and can honestly say that if you are looking for a family holiday with 100% guaranteed sun look no further than icmeler,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,one downside to the holiday was the exchange rate was shocking the best i got was 2.1 to the pound,and prices in icmeler have risen quite a bit in the 2 years we have not been.that said we will be back in 2009 .
