latest holiday in paradise

arrived back thursday after 2 weeks in icmeler. this was our 4th visit in 3 years and allready booked to go back next year.
as the other half said last night its just like going to see old friends .
anyway arrived thursday pm after a good flight
transfer from airport was good in air conditioned vehicle but we were not offered refreshments.
first impressions of captain silver appartments was excellent reception
long walk upstairs as we were on the top floor.
just dumped bags and went for walk to wonderboys and haircut
kids went back to pool while we had another drink at oscars
back to room to unpack, found their was no cooking facilities no lock or handle on bedroom door just a hole went to reception to ask about this and were met with blank stares, not very helpfull at all
got up next morning and went to see icr rep shaz very helpfull and she said she would get sorted for us.
couldnt get sunbed so went under gazebo got bit by mossies as gardens are quite overgrown and unkemt
allthough still loving icmeler getting quite down about appartments
still no cooking facilities and showers were freezing
complained at reception and waited till they got double ring hotplate for us.
fed up with appartments so just decided not to spend any money there and went out for meals and drinks
donna at icr office told us to go and look at the rhodes appartments as we were not going to stay at capt silvers next year.
rhodes appartments were very nice staff friendly and in a loveley location .
resturants we visited were many including champagne , richards place, sweet brothers, tin tins and others cant remember all names but were well treated and fed where ever we went
meals varied in price and didnt seem dearier than last year not their fault exchange rate poor
drinks prices still the same paid as little as 1.75 for large effes but tin tins was my favourite chill out place nice people good service and cheap large effes 2 lira local spirits and mixer 3.5
all in all a lovely time had by us in icmeler and have changed our appartments for next year to rhodes appartments as soon as we got back (thanks john)
ps captain silvers appartments are up for sale so perhaps thats why there standards have dropped.
