My long holiday!!!
Posted: 24 Jul 2008 14:25Right then-oh where to start...i know this is long overdue,well 2weeks in fact,but you must understand when depression sets in about being home hehe
But apologies this may be a bit all over the place..
Arrived 28th April....
Stayed in 3bells (my home of course) for my first week before moving into Selen 2 hotel for 56nights and then for my last 2weeks moved into Selen aparts.
Once arrived in 3bells and Icmeler...i felt like i had been there for ages,(anyone else feel like that).
Was so quiet and in all honesty i dont think Icmeler was very busy on a whole this time..compared with last year anyway which was also quiet!
Selen Hotel was great-i had a bath!!!! Which i told everyone i could in Icmeler haha...especially staying there that long,a bath is much needed (what is it with us and our baths).The staff were great and couldnt do enough for me...was great seeing Eddy (ex 3bells,moonlight)again...although 4 of the staff changed in May and new staff arrived,at first they were a little slow and i have seen this has already been mentioned on the forum...but with time they got the hang of it!! New guys Hakan,Andy were great.Yilmaz was my minder for my stay and the recpetion guys were just lovely...even though they seen me coming home in some states in the early hours!!!
Also i must say a big Thank you to Alif in the little market across from Selen!!! He was great,him his dad and Nephew!!! A few nights i didnt go out,just went to get magazines,dvds from him and wouldnt let me pay,just watch,read and bring back...he was a godsend hehe!!
Apartment was great too and overlooked my friends apart Tolan Aparts,where i also spend the majority of my time.Great people working there and also met alot of people around their pool-hi to anyone i met,i know Sue is on here!!
Family all come out spread over 3weeks end of May to first week of June,which was nice as i didnt have to pay-haha everywhere we went,waiters are saying ooo cash machine is here now!!!
Gene you would be so proud of me-i tried lots of new places,and are the regulars too.
Threebells-Of course this place is my home,the guys are like my family and a few new staff in here this year but they are fitting in well.Food as always is gorgeous and still never finished a sunday dinner!!!Football nights were great in here,the atmosphere was amazing...whilst Songyee is doing everyone facepainting too.Seen a few familiar faces in here too.
Noel-Love this place..although alot of the staff have gone,Leon and the guys are doing a great job this year.Really looked after me this year and even took me to Marmaris when i was craving a mcdonalds hehe!!! Ate alot of times in here-food is lovely and i recommend the fajitas mmmm.Little bayram is so grown up this year...little cutie!!
Dreamboys-Yahya and the guys are so welcoming and really looked after me.Although the staff are changing between here and Dreamfriends,the atmosphere is still the same...and they are doing a great job this season,busy everynight!!One of the busiest in April!!
Oscars/Waterfall-first time tried this place and i loved it,went alot of times during my visit.Mehmet,Ridvan,Speedy and the guys are great in here and always so much going on.
Deniz Kapisi-loved the guys in here,went a few nights and daytimes too.Was suprised to see Lee doing the Djing-but in my opinion was better than what they used to have-the drag artist!!
Harmony (Stella show)-Well it is a must to go see this and we finally got in after being knocked back one night as it was full!!!!!hehe But Michael is doing some new acts this year and still as funny as ever!!!
Masala-The food was gorgeous in here,first time been to an Indian restaurant in Icmeler (Was John that got me hooked) really enjoyed the food in here..my family also went a few times when they come...best one in Icmeler!!!
LoveBoat-well i hadnt been here for 5years or so because of a bad meal...but i hold my hands up guys,the food was gorgeous and we went here a few times!!Think i only tried the one dish though because i liked it that much hehe,was the Fajitas!! The set out and everything is just emacualte.Of course the uniforms are just to die for hehe!!Serden,Ali and the guys are lovely.
Sports Inn..well used to always be in here on our first visits to Icmeler,and first time in a long while,but loved it in here,The guys were always so welcoming and took time out to talk to me my family..but really looked after me.Used to use the Devamil sunbeds when first arrived,oh my god they are soo nice,used to fall asleep on them plenty of times.So thanks to the guys for allowing me to sleep there too hehe
Venice-Had a few good nights and days in here.Food again is gorgeous..think i had the Chinese in here..well that was when the Chef arrived.Staff were lovely and always so welcoming.Entertainment...Bellydancer (claapp) little michael-so cute!
Friends (square)...first time in here this year and spend alot of time in here.Guys are so lovely in here and the entertainment just goes on and on..great nights in here
Prince-First time i had actually tried a meal in here..even though i stayed there a few years.The food was gorgeous and the guys were great in here.
Travellers Rest-gorgeous food as always,really like it in here.
Cafe Ann-i made it here Gene hehe..I was actually looking out for you in here.Went here a few times of a day time...
Pier 49 (is it called that??)the one on beach front,been here 10yrs haha,ANyway Nick works here...we had a few meals of a night in here.Was so nice,really went out of his way for us.
Romance-First time been here for a meal,was lovely.Although was having powercuts all the way through the night hehe
Elvis-just had a few drinks in here,new bar this year
Vinces-had drinks in here when i went to meet some guys for Tudors birthday,cant believe he went in the pool hehe.
Red Lion-Spent a fair while in here...guys are lovely.Done a great job for Craigs (icr) birthday in here.
Pleasure-Gene i got my photo on the pole with your Joanne,she's lovely and was always so welcoming.The guys are doing a great job with Pleasure.Didnt actually see the foam parties here sorry but ive heard they are great.
Eastenders-now this place was my home hehe-loved the guys in here,really looked after me so well..thought i'd do their head in being there so long but they were always so welcoming!!! Cant fault this place...Love it!!!
Also majority of the above Bars/Restaurants/Clubs were giving me discount as they knew i was staying there so long...so this was a bonus and i cant thank them enough.Even some days in 3bells i would just get blank bills hehe!Where else would you get that?!!
Done the Icr pirate Boat trip-this was such a funny day-Although it was cloudy it didnt stop the fun!!!The stop off a Turunc was just hysterical,i couldnt believe the attention we were getting from the locals.Big shout to Tudor-he is a legend!!!!!
Icr guys-was great meeting you all and putting a face to the name,Your all doing a great job guys-keep up the good work.
Oh also thanks for my pirze-but i wont spoil it for anyone who hasnt got theirs yet.
Weather on a whole was gorgeous...although at the start a few rainy days/nights...oo one day was running from the lighting,was scary,this was when the mountains caught fire too!!!
I know i have probably missed alot out of this-but my mind is just going blank now-i took over 1000 photos and will try to post when i can!!
Was great meeting all who i met and will be sure to see you again...and others.
Just now on the countdown for going back now next month-cant wait...3more months back home wooo!!!!
