. Shown to our apt by Mustafa, which was on the ground floor as we had requested. Cases were dumped and our first Efes of many was had at the pool bar 
. A shower and change of clothes and we made our way to the Wayside for our first meal. Now, we always eat here when in Icmeler and have done since our first visit in 2009, sometimes 3 or 4 times in our 2 weeks. That said, it is never without incident. This year we had 2 meals here, the first visit charged for drinks we had not ordered or drank, the second visit was for food we hadn't had. Only because we like the food so much that we have never been bothered by this, but this year it was different can't quite put my finger on it, but we will be giving it a miss on future visits.Best food had was at the Hanedan and Sidiks. The overall service at both places could not be faulted.
Other places we ate at, Waterfall, Chef, Lighthouse, Champagne, Captain Sinbads. Tried Alins grill found it to be average. Also disappointed at Café del mar, great for an afternoon drink with amazing views, but not so good at night. Fatal error of visiting the toilets before eating. An absolutely awful experience that ruins ones appetite
. Only one ladies and one gents toilet which are on the beach and have been used all day by god knows how many people.Over all the food was of its usual high standard apart from the said two..
Took some of my odd bits of silver jewellery, mostly broken bits and had them melted down. My husband finally got a wedding band. He has only waited 28yrs.
Did a boat trip, ( none ICR) great day out. Visited the dogs home. A very lazy holiday for us this year, didn't really get up to much.
Staying at the Rhodes with us was Scousefitz and his very lovely family. Turned out to be good company too, you'd never guess from his boring blog, but that man has a sense of humour.
JT organised a karaoke at the Rhodes one night, which was great fun. The man can sing too. Scouse wasn't too bad either. The night ended with the men jumping in the pool, like you do.
Met some very nice people who were great company and hopefully we will meet again if we all arrive in Icmeler at the same time next year. Thanks to Tolga and his staff at the Rhodes, looking forward to summer 2014 which has already been booked and it's for 3 weeks.
