10th sept – 24th September Our holiday, wedding & honeymoon

Day 1 Saturday – awake at 3am ready for the 4am transfer to take us to paradise. Final check that we got everything for our wedding.
Arrive at Manchester airport, long queues for check in, just time to grab some duty free, flight due to leave at 7am, first time flying with easyjet, departed on time, great.
Land at 1.15pm local time, swiftly get through at dalaman, pick up a little more duty free lol. Get outside to look for transfer and what do we find but 2 guys stood next to each other with each of them holding a card with my name on, and they didn’t even notice, whoops not sure what happened there but it made me feel special.
Transfer took 1hour 15 mins great, arrived at the villa in old village, let the fun begin.
After unpacking and a shower we head to bullshits restaurant, had beef sizzler mmmm sooo good. Finished the evening off with a wander around and then back home for a nightcap on the balcony.

Day 2 Sunday: boat trip today with bullshits, great day out loved every minute of it.
Evening: meal at wayside, fantastic steak.

Day 3 Monday: Up very early as we going to Izmir today to sort paperwork for our wedding, wedding planner Nev picked us up at 7am! Stopped for breakfast at a little café and had delicious pancakes. Arrived in izmir before lunch, went to consulate, then had lunch by the harbour, went to council office for stamp then drove back to icmeler, arrived back at 6.30pm. long day but very interesting. Izmir is huge and so busy.
Evening: forum meet up at the sizzler, great food, great people, met some lovely members, love the meet up photo shoot lol.

Day 4 Tuesday: Trip to Marmaris today to the registrars to book the wedding date etc. only took 10 mins then back to icmeler and spent the rest of the day at the beach, bliss. Got stung ouch.
Evening: meal at moonlight aparts, peppered steak soooo good. Then on for a dance or two at Oscars and romance.

Day 5 Wednesday: Lazy day around the pool, few efes to keep us cool. Practice our thriller dance….again. Evening: meal at Broadway, delicious then a wander to tin tins, Oscars, no name and romance.

Day 6 Thursday: Trip to marmaris to see some friends had lunch and some shopping, glad to get back to the peace of icmeler. Evening: Meal at Harry Rams, best fish n chips ever. Walked around the shops and had a few drinks.

Day 7 Friday: Boat trip again today, fab day as usual. Evening: meal at home tonight then off to stella show, love that place so much.

Day 8 Saturday: Our wedding day: Went to moonlight aparts for menamen for breakfast, sooo good. Spent the rest of the day chilling out really. Soon it’s time to start getting ready, 5.15pm comes and the wedding car is outside, time to go, neither of us are nervous we are so excited. Arrive at the beach and get out of the car, can’t believe how beautiful the setting is, there was a harpist, everything was beautiful, thank you so much Nev, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. TV camera was there and they interviewed us after the wedding, felt like posh n becks lol. JT shouted to me he was taking photo’s of us, thanks JT. Photo’s done then up to lovers mountain for some more with the sunset. Then to the romance for our reception, table was lovely, we released a chinese lantern, fireworks, party poppers everywhere. Had a lovely meal, then it was dance time. We had our slow dance to will young’s evergreen, when that ended we stayed in the middle of the dance floor and waited for our next song, Michael Jacksons Thriller. My two bridesmaids and two of the guys from the romance came from each corner of the dance floor, we could hear people saying what’s going on, we then started and it was great, we remembered it all, we had been practising it for months lol. Everyone loved it, people were stood on the street watching, such a laugh. A big display of flowers arrived for us from Bullshits, so beautiful. We had an amazing day the best day of our lives. We arrived back to the villa and friends had been in and put petals down the hallway to the bedroom door and decorated inside and out, such a lovely thing to do, such lovely people.

Day 9 Sunday: Lazy day around the pool much needed after yesterdays excitement. Evening: meal Hanadan, lovely food, meze not good though. Then did the usual walk about.

Day 10 Monday: Back to marmaris to the registrars to complete paperwork. Spent the rest of the day on the beach, love it. Evening: meal at Romance and stayed there for the rest of the evening.

Day 11 Tuesday: Menamen for breakfast at moonlight. Hired some bikes and cycled around the old village, phew sooo hot. Evening: meal at pizza tomato, ok ish. Danced the rest of the night in no name and romance.

Day 12 Wednesday: went to the market, erm bought nothing as usual lol, just like to go for the banter. Had lunch at Paris, lovely food and great staff. Rest of the day around the pool, until the rain came wow how loud was that thunder. Evening: Meal at sizzler, delicious as usual, hakan said he saw us on TV. Went to stella show again, stella got us up on stage for a dance, met Steve W from the forum who shown us the photos he had taken of our wedding, he sent them to us when we got home, thanks Steve and lovely to meet you. Fantastic lightening across the sea so beautiful to watch.

Day 13 Thursday: Another lovely day, just went for a walk around town stopped for lunch at allins nice food but most expensive efes 5.5 TL, shocking. Walked back to villa before the rain came again. Evening: Another visit to Harry Rams and then a bar crawl.

Day 14 Friday: Last boat trip for this year, had an amazing day. Evening: packed our cases before heading to bullshits for our last meal, delicious as usual, said our goodbyes there. Went for a walk about to say our goodbyes and top up on the efes.

Day 15 Saturday: Time to leave. Had breakfast at moonlight, last bit of packing done and the transfer arrived at 10.30am. said our final goodbyes, so sad to go. Arrived at dalaman at 12.10 flight leaves at 2pm, head to duty free, flight on time and off we go. Flight was good but they ran out of food and hot drinks so we were a little hungry by this time but had to do without. Landed in Manchester to lots of rain and misery, But nothing can put a dampener on our fantastic holiday, wedding and honeymoon. Roll on next year. x
