Hoilday To Icmeler September 2011

Early flight from Gatwick ,lift overslept so arrived at Gatwick 04.15 hrs .Very fast check in and quickly through the new security checks .We are a party out four ,two couples.
Flight airboune at 06.15 hrs right on time ,arrived Dalaman at 12.00 hrs ,quick through passport control and visa .Ladies went to duty free and puchased Brandy while we waited for cases .
Private transfer waiting with name held up .and this is when the heat hit you 40 deg+ ,nice air conditioned Mecedes Vito with just the four of and the driver did give us free bottles of water .Transfer to Icmeler with no stops apart from short stop at road works just outside Marmaris ,it was still only 1.35 min.This is our 4 year in Icmeler and always atayed at ECE Apartments .All ways clean apartments and pool area very good with very friendly staff. Our two other friends who fly from Manchester who we meet many years ago on a Greek island arried about 2 hrs after us .Had a minibus for the day and visited Dalayan ,sat by river and the Turtiles where feeding so we where quite lucky to see them .We then went to Fetheye ,which we all said was to big ,but a long day .We where picked up at 0.945 and did not get back until 19.15 hrs .Decided to buy one of there genuine fake watches form Melita Watch shop near to Cupids ,big mistake .It was a auto but kept stopping ,took it back three times but he would not change it ,just said that he had checked it and it was ok .Spoke to several Turkish friends who said go to the Police station and they will go with you to watch shop and sort it out ,but i did not want the hassle not when on holiday SO BEWARE THE EXPENSIVE WATCHES FROM MELITA WATCH SHOP AND NOT WORTH BUYING .Previous years bought cheap watches and have all been ok New places we ate Hanadans excellent and Charleys Place just along road from Tansas Realy good food.Weather very hot this year 40+ every day .Had a good transfer and flight home all on time time.Hope to return next year but will not be buying watches from MELITA WATCH SHOP.
