honeymoon in paradise

we got married in durham sat 4th october and flew from newcastle monday 6th at 7.30am, good flight on time and were first flight in we were just getting off when another thompsoms flight plus easy jet landed. just two visa windows open! you would think they know when flights are arriving why not staff up?.collected bags and went out to be met by taxi transfer great 1hour.45 later checking in to mersoy (see seperate hotel review)we got our bearings, its up near wonderboys, and went for a pint first one was in chill bar below icr offices, just 2tyl! changed some money at supermarket and went up and said hello to donna who was fighting with her pdq visa machine! as a treat we eat our first meal at love boat as always fantastic quality and service.
next day (on bills advice) we headed to beach at yakamoza?? cafe and met wonderful patrik swazee and ibrahim( merry chritmas and happy new year!! lol) really spoiled us that night we discovered tigger and his crew in wonderboys a saw tina turner!! followed on subsequent nights by elvis robbie and grease show although michael jackson was thankfully booked to play elsewhere.
we had two "little upsets"
1= we saw a sign on harrys steak bar "english breakfast £1.00" ok in we go asked what we wanted and both ordered breakfast but i said i didnt want mushrooms or sausage and jaime didnt want the beans, so far so good food comes and it was ok then when i asked for the bill it was 20tyl!! when i came around the waiter explained as i dint want some things it was extra!! **** said i and we had a economics discussion which ended in me paying 8tyl so be careful
2= episode was as the weather was so hot (26/27) jaime was drinking small btls of water in restaurants and in one she said the water tasted earthy we ordered another and you know the waiter usually opens the water and pours it well i reconed they had collected empties and filled them from tap! nice little earner so i ordered another bottle and as he approached i stood up and aked him for it sure enough the little blue plastic security tab was broken he sid he had twisted it on the way to our table but i recon we were being diddled !
having said that we had one other episode, some friends recommended the titanic said it was as good as the love boat (not in our opinion in the same league) we tried it and to be fair it was ok but this waiter kept telling me he was the double of someone on a uk diy reality show! he asked us to come back for sunday lunch(which we ended up having in champagne bar opposite wonderboys and it ws excellent) we said we would and he gave us a card and said 20% discount if we returned as we left i paid our bill on my card and it wasnt till we were walking out i thought 70ytl!! never anyway it turns out the waiter had taken a 20tyl deposit and added it to our bill for the sunday lunch we said we might go for!! got my moneyback but i wouldnt use or recommend titanic
all to soon monday morning dawned and uneventful return transfer and flight ended a wonderful week. we will go back next year but maybee a couple of weeks earlier as it was very very quiet
