We flew about an hr late from Glasgow which was annoying as meant an hr less in our favourite place Icmeler. TC airlines I have to say don't rate highly with me hardly any room to move in the seat and if anyone puts their seat back your well and truly stuffed. Apart from that flight was uneventful so was fine even if it were little cramped.
Arrived to tell TC rep not using the transfer and was being waved over by ICR guy told him I'd be there in a minute (yeah used them a few times now), transfer was fine had to wait about 20mins for another couple of people but off we went with water being given at a quick stop. Transfer was about 1hr 20mins.
Arrived at apartments (Mitos) about 4.00pm local time and was knackered, and waited for our room which was fine got to see that first view of the apartments and canal with a drink in hand.
Apartments as always were good, nice room, cleaned daily, staff friendly as always and once again had a great time here which is why we are heading back for a 4th time next year.
Ate in many places couple of new ones (well for me anyway) Lemon Tree (very nice meal here), Florida (again lovely food), Mitos (good food great prices also BBQ night here was good value for money), Majestic, Cafe Anne (mum finally got to try the delicious apple pie and loved it with the cream), Cafe Erdem, Vinces, Pyramid, Venice and have to say not a bad meal in any of these places. We also ate in DejaVu food was ok, just a pity about the bill being wrong kind of put us off there, and my friends who arrived that night were also put off by being charged too much for their drinks so they lost out on some custom there. Oh well, plenty more bars
Also for a drink or two, went to Noels, Romance, Elvis, Vinces, Richards Place, Three Bells, Mitos (can you tell I like here), Sevgi bar, Denzi Kapisi, Chill Bar and others no doubt and enjoyed each one.
Done the usual boat trip with ICR took friends who were on their first visit to Turkey and Icmeler of course and have to say they also loved the boat trip and Icmeler as far as I can tell and might be back maybe not next year or the next but I'm sure they will.
Also for the first time I done the Turkish bath and have to say I will be doing this again next year, it was amazing came out with a slightly sore back but it eased I'm sure they just fixed something
Have to say also for the first time had a pedicure and manicure and eyebrows done, and it definately adds to the holiday experience well it did for me, relaxing and will also be done next year.
Went up to ICR offices a couple of times and was always met with a smile from Donna, Michelle or Sharon. Was great to see you all again and look forward to seeing you all again next year (will be in touch re May accom in time).
Return home was as always depressing, was good got up in morning had breadfast and off we went saying bye to the lovely Icmeler was hard but there is always next year. So flight home was as cramped as before, into duty free (got some xmas pressies perfume and aftershave), had sandwich (one I prepared earlier) with some juice (also appeared from my bag), then off to departures, flight was away on time and then we were home back to Glasgow to enjoy our memories created this time and to look forward to making more next year.
