Left for Leeds Bradford airport on time, airport lovely, usually use Manchester but prefer Leeds Bradford. Onur Air flight, departed on time. Flight was fine. Arrived
Dalaman on time, baggage took longer than normal but no problem. Arrived at
transfer desk and joined the queue!! If anyone wants the name of the transfer company PM me, I could not find any info before we left, now I know why! We lined up with many other people for about 30 mins (in the heat with 2 little ones), and were finally shown to a coach. Big problem, too many people for the coach. That left us waiting again until we were shown to another coach, as we were all going to Icmeler, we thought it would be simple! Oh no, they left us sat on the coach for 1 and a half hours until it filled up. This meant it was another 2 and a half hours (after they filled the coach) until we reached our apartments. Our kids are only 3 and 6 so this was not good for them. We arrived at Kurt apartments, threw the bags in the room and went out for dinner, still wearing our travelling clothes. The apartments were fine apart from an incident where an English couple were fighting and
hotel staff refused to help.
Enjoyed meals at many places, kids favourite was crazy boys (old village), Oscars, and Deja Vue.
Icmeler still holds it's magical charms for us, even though we saw the same break dancers 4 times. I did not rate Taj Mahal but think I must be the only person who doesn't, then again, i live in Bradford, the curry capital
Booked 2 boat trips, one with ICR, both were fantastic but the
ICR one was half the price. Went to book return transfer with Donna and it was perfect. Coach transfer was coming at 23.10 for 5.30 am flight! ICR transfer came at 1.30am, private taxi, cigarette break for 5 mins then straight to airport. Poor Megan was violently sick just outside the taxi and the driver never flinched! The driver just said to let him know if we needed to stop, bless him. Arrived at the airport, checked in, got duty free and by this time, the gate was open. Safe flight home and now ready to book for next year
