Arrived home at 10:30 this morning, can't wait to get back in September.
Here is my review
Outbound flight 21/06/2009
Arrived at Manchester airport there was only one check in desk open for TC to check in 3 different flights. Eventually 2 more opened but only just as we got to the front of the que after being there fore ages. We were advised there was an hour and half delay. We were due to fly at 22:45 but didnt actaully take off till 00:30. Food was awful a spoonful of chilli, with some very hard rice, and a couple of potatoe wedges.
Arrived at airport
transfer was waiting and ready to go, we arrived at our aparments at about 8:45.
Apartments
Arrived at the Kurt Apartments and were greeted like old friends. I'd e-mailed Mr Kurt my requests before I arrived and just like I asked he had put me in Room 203, and also put a fan in the bedroom (I prefer the fan to the aircon).
The Kurts seem to of learned there lesson, I know people have complained in the past about them being pushy. They were fine with us and there were no complaints from anyone else, so think they have stopped doing it now.
The food is very good there this year, they are doing Soup, Garlic Bread, Mezes, Any main course from the menu, ice cream, tea or coffee for just 20 lira I think that is the cheapest I have seen, as you are not limited to just steak or chicken like other places, its literally anything off the menu some of them cost 30 lira on their own. The Coban Kerverma was very nice and portion was huge.
Apartments as always spotless and well maintained. I'll be back in September.
Resort
Not alot has changed really, there was quote alot of bars closed down. De Ja Vue was closed twice whilst we were there. Also Mr Yes, Mandarin, Acceme were all closed down at some point during the time we were there. The resort is still as beautiful as ever.
Exchange rate on our last couple of days was 2.50 in most places, unfortuantaly we changed all ours over on the first day as I didnt know how it was going to go and got 2.43 but still not a bad rate so I wasn't to bothered.
Inbound Flight
Got picked up at 2am, to arrive in time for out 5:45 flight, checked in and suprise suprise were informed there was a 2 hour delay, so TC are not in my good books as had delays with them last year aswell.
So all in all apart from the delays had a lovely relaxing time, looking forward to September. Maybe thinking of trying a different part of Turkey next year, but we will see.
