Review: Marti in May '08

As promised, a quick review of our week in Icmeler (23-30 May).
Stayed at the Marti again, which is undergoing some long overdue renovations. Only found out about these (and the fact the indoor pool was closed) thanks to the good people on this forum as the travel agents (NOT ICR) were being their normal useless selves. The work definitely had an impact, but thankfully the weather was a lot better than we'd dared hope for (35+ Celsius all week) so the hotels excellent other pools were put to extensive use. Never quite made it to the gym, though. Funny that
All the "usual" restaurants/bars (Venice, Villa Kontes, Sports Bar) were up to there normal high standards of food and friendliness. In addition we spent a couple of evenings at the Riverside, as Bamboo was not yet open and Murfit had taken up (temporary?) residence there. The staff there were also excellent and made us feel very welcome.
I can't think of anything else at this point -- being only a week we didn't do any trips or the like. If anyone wants to know anything more specific, though, feel free to ask.
Just can't wait to get back there again in August... only 10 weeks (or should I say 70 sleeps!) to go.
