Sorry this took so long.
Icmeler jun15 to 29. Both flights out and back were early by 10 mins so no problem there. Arrived to blazing sunshine at 11.30am. Apartments were fine, clean and spacious. First port of call was little supermarket in the old village to see friends from last year. Ate at all the usual places ,Tommys etc but one that seems not to get many mentions is the TinTin. Food in TinTin was excellent and very reasonably priced. Nice little quiet place to eat and 3 lira for Effes. We ate there quite a bit and thanks to Burak and all the staff for making us welcome. Did the ICR trips and the quad safari was excellent as was the all inclusive boat trip.The best trip by far though was the ICR exclusive day trip ,with 12 people and Donna as a guide it was the highlight of the 2 weeks in Icmeler, and a day to remember. for anyone going soon call in to ICR and ask about the day trip ,well worth it for the breakfast alone.The main resort has not changed much from last year and the prices seem about the same.Did notice some places charging 7 lira for english breakfast but most still 5 lira.The Majestic show is still excellent entertainment, and again thanks to Sinbad who remembered us straight away from last year. Drink prices were the same as last year and the entertainment was still going on in most bars. Hassle did not seem as bad as last year and we were able to browse quite a few shops without any hassle.The weather for the 2 weeks was about the 40 mark and no rain in sight. The walk from the old village to town is nice but take water and a sunhat as it is very warm. Did the market in Marmaris (wont be doing that again, nuff said) but was just glad to get back to Icmeler, what a difference.All in all we had an excellent holiday made all the better by the ICR trips and Donna. Thanks also to Rami for putting us on to some different apartments for next year, hopefully booking soon. To conclude, if you are about to go soon do not worry about all the bad reports about Icmeler they are mostly not true. You can still eat and drink for a reasonable price, we did for 4 of us each night was about 40 to 50 pounds and that was meals and drinks. Take sterling and change it in resort. Lots of little supermarkets giving a good rate but the best one was under ICR office, got 2.51 there when it was 2.45 back home. Finally left Icmeler at 9.45am and back home (and depressed) early. Roll on next year.
